House Blends in Bulk
We have a wide range of house blends available. For pricing reasons, we have divided them into two groups.
Cavendish and Burley
Burley blends are usually preferred by those who are accustomed to the commercial pipe tobaccos made popular in the fifties and sixties. Burley has a natural nutty flavor and tends to be somewhat strong. Cavendish blends are the most popular in the U.S. today. They are sweetened and enhanced with flavorings to provide a pleasant burning aroma.
Matured Virginias and English Mixtures
For those who prefer the better burning qualities and the richer, more complex, natural flavor of well blended, meticulously processed and aged tobacco. Matured Virginias have flavors ranging from zesty and citrus-like of the brighter, sweeter varieties to the nutty, roasted flavors of the richer, darker Virginias. English blends are often based on Matured Virginias. Rich Latakia is often used to impart a smoky sweet, woody, flavor. Orientals, Balkan, an Turkish tobaccos are frequently used to add their own distinctive nutty characteristics.
In addition to our house blends, many fine domestic and imported tobaccos are available in tins.
