High Grade Pipes
RadiceItalian handcrafted briar pipeLuigi Radice started crafting pipes as a young man working for Carlo Scotti in Cantu, Italy making the esteemed Castello pipe. He left in 1969 when he and Pepino Ascorti co-founded Caminetto. After ten years with Caminetto, and tired of the pressure of high production, he formed his own company. The distinctive flair, soft rustic finishes, spiral and "bamboo" shank treatments are the trademark features that make the Radice pipe unique and easily recognized. Luigi's sons, Marzio and Gianluca, have continued producing these fine briar pipes. Often adorned with silver bands, Army mounts, and copper and brass inlay, these elegant smoking pipes are some of the most beautiful ever produced. The full draw resulting from a larger bore, the pain-staking air-curing of only the finest briar, and the meticulous attention given to every detail in the design and crafting of each piece result in an exceptional smoke. From the first lighting, the superior quality of this brand is evident. The dense grain of the briar provides a cool smoke and make it an ideal choice for the pipe smoker who prefers English-style mixtures and flakes. Great consideration is given to balance and to the shaping of the mouthpiece to provide optimum comfort, further enhancing the pleasure of the smoking experience.
